Blueberry Green Tea Spritzer
Enjoy this crisp drink that supports mental clarity and focus. Green tea provides L-theanine and a small amount of caffeine for focus, while blueberries are rich in brain-boosting antioxidants. Lemon juice enhances polyphenol absorption and helps balance blood sugar levels.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- ½ lemon
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 1 cup brewed green tea, cooled
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup, optional
- 8 ounces sparkling water
DIRECTIONS
- Wash all produce well.
- Peel the lemon and ginger, then cut them into sizes appropriate for the juicer.
- Remove the leaves from the rosemary sprig.
- Add the blueberries, lemon, ginger, and rosemary leaves to the juicer.
- In two large glasses, combine the blueberry juice and cooled green tea. Add the honey or maple syrup, if desired, and stir well.
- Fill the glasses with ice and top with sparkling water.
- Gently stir and garnish each glass with 2-3 extra blueberries and a sprig of rosemary.
