Restful Sleep Smoothie
This smoothie combines ingredients that work in harmony to support a restful sleep. Tart cherries are a natural source of melatonin, while almonds and bananas provide tryptophan, a melatonin precursor. Hemp seeds, rich in protein and healthy fats, nourish the nervous system and stabilize blood sugar, helping to promote a peaceful night's sleep.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ cups homemade almond milk
- 1 cup frozen tart cherries
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
- ½ tablespoon maple syrup (or to taste)
- Zest from 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
- Using the Nama C2 Cold Press Juicer and Blender, add all ingredients to the blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Divide the smoothie between 2 glasses and serve.
Notes:
- For additional sleep support, consider adding ½ to 1 teaspoon of Ashwagandha powder.
