Beet Bitter Elixir
This blend of bitters helps to prime the digestive system and activate digestion before a meal. It can also be used after or between meals to soothe any upset indigestion and support an overall healthy digestive system.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 beets (option to include beet greens)
- 1 lemon, with 1/2 rind
- 1-inch piece ginger
- Sparkling water, optional
DIRECTIONS
- Wash all produce well.
- Peel half of the lemon, leaving the other half of the rind on.
- Peel beets.
- Add all ingredients to the juicer and enjoy 2-4 ounces before a meal.
- To make a tonic, mix with 4-6 ounces sparkling water.
