    Winter Immunity Cubes

    A warming, immune-supportive blend of orange, carrot, and turmeric, infused with aromatic star anise and cinnamon. These flavorful cubes can be added to hot water, juice, or tea for a gentle boost of vitamin C and antioxidants that help the body stay strong through the colder months. Recipe by our friend Ivonka Schellenberg.

    INGREDIENTS

    • 4-6 oranges, peeled
    • 4 large carrots
    • 2-inch piece turmeric
    • 6 star anise
    • 6 cinnamon sticks

    DIRECTIONS

    • Wash all produce well.⁣
    • Juice oranges, carrots, and turmeric.⁣
    • Pour into an ice tray and place a small piece of star anise and a cinnamon stick in each cube.⁣
    • Freeze overnight.⁣
    • Once frozen, pop the cubes out of the tray and store them in a reusable freezer bag or container.⁣
    • When ready to enjoy, add one cube to warm water or melt into juice, tea, or sparkling water.⁣
    Makes: 25 ounces, or 8 large ice cubes
