Strawberry Matcha Latte
A layered latte that balances sweet strawberry with earthy matcha. Strawberries provide vitamin C and antioxidants, while matcha offers calm, sustained energy from naturally occurring caffeine and L-theanine. Combined with your choice of plant-based milk, it’s a refreshing, energizing drink with a smooth, creamy finish.
Ingredients
- Strawberry Puree
- 2 cups strawberries
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- Matcha Latte
- 1 ½ teaspoons matcha powder
- 3 ½ tablespoons water, warmed to 170°F
- 6 tablespoons cold strawberry puree
- ¾ cup plant-based milk of your choice
- Ice cubes
Directions
- Place strawberries, lemon juice and syrup into a blender and process until smooth. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine the matcha powder and 1 tablespoon of the hot water. Whisk until frothy. Then, add the rest of the water and whisk again for about 30 seconds, or until lumps disappear.
- Pour the strawberry puree into a 16-ounce glass. Add the ice, then slowly pour the milk over the ice.
- Finally, slowly pour the matcha over the milk. Enjoy.
