Vancouver Island Green

We like to call this juice, Vancouver Island Green. It is full of vitamins and minerals to nourish our bodies and charge up our immune systems.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lemon or lime or both
  • 2 big handfuls of spinach or kale
  • 1 cucumber
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 2.5 inch piece of ginger (you can start with a smaller amount if your are sensitive to spice or add more if you immune system needs a serious boost)
  • 3 inch piece of turmeric (same idea as the ginger, start out with less and work up to 3 inches)

DIRECTIONS:

  • Wash the leafy greens, celery stalks and cucumber thoroughly.⁣
  • Remove lemon and lime peel.⁣
  • Cut all ingredients into the appropriate size for the juicer.⁣
  • Feed all ingredients through the juicer and enjoy!⁣
  • This juice is NOT sweet so if you want some sugar add it naturally with an apple or two. Just cut and core apples and feed them through the juicer at the end.⁣
Yield: approx. 16 ounces (more if you add some apple)
