Kickstart your morning with this powerful and nourishing wellness shot. Featuring the acidity and bitterness of citrus, ginger, and turmeric, this shot is designed to invigorate a sluggish or overworked digestive system.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 small grapefruit
- 2 oranges, peeled
- ½ lemon, peeled
- 2-inch piece ginger
- 1-inch piece turmeric
- Sprinkle cayenne, to serve (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Wash all produce well.
- Cut all ingredients into appropriate size for the juicer.
- Add all ingredients to the juicer.
- Divide juice into 2-ounce glasses. Sprinkle with cayenne, if desired, and enjoy.
Notes:
- To sweeten, stir 1 tablespoon of raw honey or maple syrup.
- Freeze shots in a large ice cube tray. Add them to boiling water for an instant, warming tea.
