Golden Spring Milk
This bright and creamy milk is perfect for early spring, balancing warming turmeric and nutmeg with refreshing chamomile and orange. It soothes, nourishes, and supports immunity during seasonal transitions.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 chamomile tea bags
- 4 cups boiling water
- ¾ cup oats
- ½ cup coconut flakes
- 1 ½ tablespoons honey or maple syrup, to taste
- 1 teaspoon orange rind (approx. 1 orange)
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
DIERCTIONS
- Combine tea bags and water in a quart-size jug or jar. Refrigerate overnight. Remove bags from the tea.
- Using the Nama M1 Plant-Based Milk Maker, check that the spout cap is closed, then add all ingredients into the filter basket.
- Secure the lid and set the blending time to 45 seconds. Press Start.
- Follow prompts to open the spout, after 10 seconds the spin cycle will activate. Once this is finished, your milk is ready to enjoy.
- To serve as a hot drink, steam with a milk wand or heat in a saucepan over low heat, stirring regularly.
Note:
- The cold infusion of chamomile tea reduces the tannins in the tea creating a more subtle flavor in the milk. It can also be made with regular tea that has been cooled.
