Blueberry Cardamom Chia Bowl
This skin-loving smoothie bowl is packed with antioxidant-rich blueberries and fiber to support microbiome health while providing ingredients that will hydrate and support skin health. The anthocyanins in blueberries help protect skin cells from free radical damage and reduce signs of aging. Additionally, they contain vitamin C which promotes collagen production. Chia seeds contain healthy fats essential for a glowing complexion while supporting gut health.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 ½ cups almond coconut milk, or plant-based milk of choice
- 2 dates, pitted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
TOPPINGS
- Banana
- Berries
- Kiwi
- Coconut flakes
- Pepitas
DIRECTIONS
- Using the Nama C2, add all ingredients, except chia seeds, into the blender.
- Blend for 1-2 minutes, or until smooth.
- Add chia seeds, and stir for 5 minutes until chia seeds swell and become suspended in the smoothie mixture.
- Divide mixture into two bowls and garnish with sliced banana, berries, kiwi, coconut flakes, and pepitas. Enjoy.
Note:
- This smoothie can be enjoyed right away, but it is best when refrigerated overnight to allow the chia seeds to completely swell, helping to create a thick consistency.
